I was born in Encino, Ca., so I guess you can call me a real “Encino Man.” Grew up in Northridge, a suburb of Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley. Radio was a part of my upbringing, especially listening to Dr. Demento every Sunday night. If you didn’t know the “Funny 5” the next morning, then you weren’t “in.”

Transferred to New Mexico State University for a degree in Professional Golf Management. I later change majors and entered into the exciting world of broadcasting and earned my BA in Broadcast Journalism.

Immediately after graduation, I landed my first job as a TV Photojournalist for KDBC, a CBS affiliate in El Paso, TX.. After one year in TV news, I moved to radio on KXDA in Las Cruces, NM. doing overnights, before being promoted to nights. After a very rewarding stint there, it was onto Phoenix, AZ at KMVP, an ESPN affiliate. That opportunity led me to running the number one show in the city, The Sports Grill, with Dave Burns and Ron Woofley. Shortly after, I hosted my first sports show, “Hockey Night in Phoenix,” with co-host, Stanley Cup winner Brent Severyn, who called-in from Dallas, TX every week.

Next was KXAM 1010AM where I started “That Sports Show with Those Guys,” a lighthearted look at the world of sports with local comedians. Less than a year later I was hosting mornings on All Comedy Radio 1480AM and producing the Danny Bonnaduci show.

I finally landed on The Alternative, KWSS and began, “Driving With Gass, Man.”  This show aired for 10 years and featured independent artists both locally and nationally. The show specialized in live remotes at venues across Phoenix and the Southwest..

I also hosted a live internet show every Saturday afternoon about music comedy and life called, “Going Global With Gass, Man!”  It aired on the Voice America Talk Radio Network and always featured in-studio guests and co-hosts.

My latest show is about the strange and unusual is called, “The Mothership Radio Show.”
